Narcissists do have feelings such as anger, bitterness, envy, jealousy. They are very sensitive to slights so much so that many times they are offended when nothing was said to offend. They have feelings for themselves, there is no room for anyone else’s feelings. They are too self observed to consider others. They do not feel empathy for others, because they lack empathy they do not know how to love. What you are calling hurt feelings is a narcissistic injury. When they feel slighted or narcissisticly injured they have to do something to recover. In order to recover they need narcissistic supply. They feed off the emotions of others to recover from their wounds. This recovery process can go on all day long for the narcissist. For example someone said something to him at work which offended him, he lets it eat away at him at work, he then goes home and treats his wife like an emotional punching bag in order to recover. We can all have bad days from time to time, but with the narcissist the behavior is extreme. Narcissists do have feelings. They are emotionally stuck at about the age of a 6 or 7 year old.
